Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in our company, performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, equipment, and facilities. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. They also set up, install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment and fabricate metal parts. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work independently and have a basic knowledge of building systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, equipment, and facilities.

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

- Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed on time and to a high standard.

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

- Communicate effectively with other team members and management.

- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Follows all company and regulatory agency safety regulations.

Reads and interprets blueprints/specifications concerning plant and equipment as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) Degree in Industrial Electronics from an accredited college or university: or three to five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical. Procedures or governmental regulations. Excellent communication skills.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must regularly lift to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Safety glasses are required. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, sometimes requiring hearing protection.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
